We’re boldly sticking our noses out and predicting that 2014 will be the year that new rock bands dominate the airwaves and packed gig venues around the country, and we couldn’t have picked a more fitting video to officially kick off our ‘Video of the Week’ series for the new year.
Based in London, Tenth Electric are a five piece rock group, with elements of dance, funk and electronic bliss impressively thrown in for good measure. Their second single ‘Shame’ is one of those addictive songs that you can’t help but hit repeat to the first (and second, and third) time you hear it. With a solid rock foundation, anthemic chorus, and guitar riff and synth combos that’ll make you get up and dance, all tied together by the stirring vocals of lead singer Luke Mitchell and a brilliantly mesmerising music video, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it tearing up the radio- and TV-waves any day now.
Don’t miss their headline gig at West London’s stunning Roof Gardens this Friday. Check out our gig guide for more info. We’re predicting a huge 2014 for these guys, and can’t wait to hear more!
