Hungary’s Sziget Festival Adds Kaiser Chiefs, Manu Chao, and more

Europe’s most epic festival – Budapest’s Sziget Festival – has just added a bunch of big names to their already pumping 2016 line-up. The Island of Freedom was awarded “Best European Line-up” last year, and this year they’re definitely not pulling any punches. 9 new names have just been added including Mano Chao, Hardwell, Kaiser Chiefs, Fidlar and many more.

They join Rihanna, Sia, Noel Gallagher and an action-packed musical and cultural program. This year’s End Show, on the last day of the week-long festival on 16th August, will be hosted by Hardwell, who will definitely crown the last Main Stage slot of 2016. Manu Chao La Ventura will bring danceable rhythms and a great atmosphere also to the Main Stage. Sziget is also happy to have Kaiser Chiefs, Fidlar, Boys Noize, Dillon Francis, Movits!, Vinai and DJ Sliink.

Sziget runs in Budapest every year; taking place this year from the 10th to the 17th of August, 2016.

In 2015 a total of 441,000 Szitizens attended the event, representing more than 95 countries and this probably makes Sziget one of the most multicultural festivals in the world. Hundreds of acts and programs will be announced in the forthcoming months, now starting with eight names, representing different genres and keeping the music line-up as colorful as always.
